The delightful Harrietville Bush Market is run by the Harrietville Historical Society and is most often held during the second weekend of January each year. Wander through stalls of artisan wares, clothing, jewelry, local produce and preserves, plants, secondhand books, coffee, sausage sizzle and home-cooked treats. EASTER BUSH MARKET

All the fun of the January market returns on Easter Sunday each year, but with one major addition: the Harrietville Duck Race! This highly anticipated annual event, which raises money for the Harrietville Primary School, sees 500 rubber duckies race down the Ovens River as spectators line the banks to see which will be first to reach the net at the bridge. FREEBURGH AUTUMN BUSH MARKET
Freeburgh Community Hall

Escape the crowds of Bright and head to a real country market, where you will very likely meet all 80 residents of the small locality of Freeburgh. The bush market is held each year as part of the Bright Autumn Festival and all proceeds go toward the maintenance of the Freeburgh Community Hall. The market has clothing, jewelry, secondhand wares, music and a sausage sizzle out on the lawn, as well as a great selection of scones and cakes inside the hall.
